Frequently Asked Questions

How will this training be different from others?

Have you ever taken a yoga class and walked away feeling so light and free without fully understanding why? Did that feeling linger with you for days after? Have you ever been curious about diving deeper into your physical practice, as well as the mental training that yoga provides? This training explains the why and the how of yoga. We break it down together- scientifically: psychologically within the mind and physiologically within the body.

The Yoga Equinox School is host to a new style of yoga.  You will learn all the standard requirements for a 200-hour teacher training, plus learn the principles of vinyasa yoga, various meditation techniques, and when and how to use them in class. Throughout this training, we will study various texts, including the Yoga Sutras, to better understand the ‘more’ of yoga, and how to weave deep spiritual focus (aka: powerful themes for self-growth and personal reflection) into your class.

In short, you will learn why and how a consistent yoga practice changes lives; how to avoid ‘burn out’ as a teacher, connect with every student in every class, as well as what it takes to transform teaching yoga into your career. Whether or not you want to teach yoga after this training or you are taking training for your own personal growth and transformation- we use a power vinyasa flow, inspired by Baron Baptist, as our blueprint to practice and juggle all the other tools along the way.

You will be able to teach an empowering, elite-caliber yoga class after this training!

Who can attend?

Open-minded people who are interested in learning and growing.   People who want to be yoga teachers.  People who do not want to be yoga teachers.  People who are already yoga teachers, who want to get a different perspective of teaching.  People who want to live their lives differently.  People who want to step more fully into the flow of life.  People who want to stop ‘trying’ and start Being.

This training is just the beginning for people who are looking to manifest real change into their lives, by unlocking not only the secrets within your body, but also within your soul. Anyone brave enough to take the plunge inward and face your own fears, aspirations, dreams, and inner workings in order to better serve the world through teaching, learning, and instructing vinyasa yoga & beyond.

What are the times & dates for training?

The program is broken down into 8 immersive training weekends below. Please remember that there is a high level of commitment needed to complete this training. All training dates are mandatory and must be attended to achieve hours for completion of certification.

Learn More About Dee

Hey all! I know it's been awhile since you've seen me host a YTT. After having my daughter, I made a conscious decision to step back from the school and focus on instructing group classes & running day-to-day operations at YogaGyspy. Years later, I am ready to step deeper into leadership and guide you in your 200-hour vinyasa yoga teacher training!!! So congratulations on making it to this point!! I have found that once you have an itch to teach yoga (or at least take a training to learn more) that itch never goes away - until you take the leap and sign up from training!

Whether your passion lies in teaching and wanting to teach yoga classes, or if you simply want to dive deeper into your own practice -- this training is for everyone and anyone who craves more than just physical postures within their practice and day to day life. This training dives deeper into the yoga sutras, history, and detailed teachings of what it means to embody yoga on and off that mat. We use a set power yoga sequence, inspired by Baron Baptist, which trainees memorize and practice teaching as soon as the first weekend! This sequence is our blueprint on which we imprint modality for growth, progress, and facing our fears!
